The Absolute Surrender To God (The hundred percent Christian 4)

Scripture text: "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service" - Rom. 12:1

Hi, I believe you are possessing your goodly heritage. I have this personal philosophy of life; That "nothing is too much to let go", the Bible, yes! we must talk about scriptures because it is the road map to every issue of life, in fact, the word is life! (See John 6:63).

So, back to where we were, the Bible in Proverbs 11:24 says, "There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withhold more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty" isn't awesome?

That a man gives away, in a way of not looking back (scattereth) he gave incessantly, yet he went on being blessed, he increased!

But here is a marveling issue; that this other man kept back everything, held them to himself, never gave out,  naturally you should think that he has more than enough stored up, but that isn't the case.
The reverse is his condition, he tendeth to poverty, he became poor!.

I have come to realize that in life, there is nothing I have that was not given, and there is nothing I give that God doesn't have, everything we have  was given  and so nothing is too big to surrender or give out

Jesus gave his life, for you to live, He simply took it back again, God gave it back to Him because He sowed it. There is no how you sow and not reap.

My prayer is; God should enlighten your eyes of understanding to know what is the hope of his calling.

Today I will be talking about the fourth and final requirement for being a Hundred Percent Christian, like I said this is what you have to know about your place in Christ.

So, brethren what else is involved?

4. Absolute Surrender:

First, it was absolute dependence on what God has done, which equals salvation, second is absolute dependence on what God has said, which equals assurance, and third is absolute obedience, which equals happiness, and then fourth is absolute Surrender And which equals the power of service. Another word for surrender is yield.

Romans 6:13 says, "Because ye are sons, God hath senth forth the spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying Abba Father." Romans 8:9 says, This words means that; The Holy Spirit lives in the believer's heart.

1Cor.6:19, 20 says, "What ? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God".

When He came into your heart, the Holy Spirit had a strong desire for complete control of your life (James 4:5), but He does not automatically take control.

Just as salvation is not automatic - You must trust Him; assurance is not automatic - someone must show you on what to base your assurance; happiness is not automatic - you must obey; even so power for service isn't also automatic.

Power for service comes as you yield yourself absolutely to the Holy Spirit who indwells you. There is an interesting verse that most people never finish.

They quote only the first part. Ephesians 3:20 says, "Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think."

But remember, the last part says, "according to the power that worketh in us," and of course, the only power at work in us is the Holy Spirit. God can use us but we must completely yield to the Holy Spirit.

Perhaps you are asking how come, how do know it is so? He came in when you were saved and has been in you since then.  He has been on the inside of you having a strong desire to have complete control over your life.

At times it is so strong that He gets envious of the flesh. James 4:5, "Do you think that the scripture saith in vain, The Spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy?" Galatians 5:7 says, "For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to another."

So it is up to you to yield ourselves either to the flesh or the Spirit. The Holy Spirit wants complete control of your life.

It is your duty to surrender, to yield to Him to take over your life. He would not force Himself on you, He made you a free moral agent.

You can choose to be controlled by Him or you can choose to be controlled by the flesh, but if you really want power for service and if you really want to be a Hundred Percent Christian, you must come to the point where you want the Holy Spirit to completely control your life.

The Bible in Romans 8:19 says, " For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God"

God earnestly desires us to let the Holy  Spirit rule in our lives, only then will the supernatural be the reality of our place in life and destiny.

PRAYER

Father, IJN: I surrender my life to the Holy Spirit, spirit, soul, and body, mold and use me as your desired vessel, I have no power of my own, let your indwelling presence strengthen me.

COMMIT TO MEMORY:
